LIVED update from Beirut

LIVED Beirut Trip, 02-22 June 2016

Two of our team members are currently in Beirut, Lebanon to set up a longitudinal research study funded by the British Academy that explores the emotional lives of displaced young people. In addition to setting up the research study, they have also been doing some filming for one of our next documentaries.

To this end, we have met many inspiring local organisations to learn more about their work with displaced children and to explore possible ways for us to collaborate.

In the coming days we will do a series of creative/photo workshops with youth living in displacement in Beirut, in which we will combine parts of our research with our (documentary) work for LIVED.

But most importantly, we will try to have a few hours of fun together.

For now, though, we wish our colleagues all the best and much success for their project in Calais/Dunkirk next week.

And a special word of thanks to our LIVED colleagues in Edinburgh who have been with us everyday providing positive thoughts, support and their advice.
