'Learning to Swim' Screened at a Scottish Refugee Council Training Event

We are very excited that our documentary ‘Learning to Swim’ was screened by the Scottish Refugee Council as part of a training event to local authorities welcoming Syrian refugees. The participants were housing and community development officers, social workers, teachers, general practitioners and police officers, to name a few. These individuals provide the refugee response in Scotland and are responsible of welcoming the families once they arrive in the local authorities. Our documentary was screened to illustrate the various situations that families and young people may have faced along their journey, helping these respondents to understand and address the needs of the Syrian families settling in Scotland. According to the Scottish Refugee Council, our documentary was extremely well-received by the participants, and we hope it will remain useful for future training events.
